Drawing

The Studio Art courses in drawing allow you to use a wide range of mediums that include charcoal, colored pencil, graphite, ink and pastel. You will complete your work through in-class projects and individual drawing explorations.

Drawing courses are taught by full-time and adjunct faculty, so you will have the opportunity to study with experienced professors from a variety of specialty areas.

The School of Creative Arts’ (SOCA) drawing studio offers:

  • Large windows
  • Concrete floors for easy cleanup
  • Excellent storage facilities
  • State-of-the-art ventilation and exhaust systems
  • Adjustable track lighting and fluorescent lights
  • A movable stage for models with a ring of lights over and around it to ensure correct lighting situations for different drawing problems including still life and figure drawing
