Cartwright Scholarship

Commemorating the Future of SOCA

Our past adventures have given us many reasons to honor the future of SOCA. From our creative, collaborative learning environment and personalized education, to our students, alumni, faculty, and staff – our community is worth celebrating.

Share Your Experiences

We all have such great memories of our time with SOCA, and we want to share them!

Maybe you have a good story about a late night studio class. Or about the time you went to Europe. Or about the friends you made. Whatever your story, we want to hear it.

Write a letter. Draw a picture. Tell a funny story.. in whatever medium you choose. We’re collecting memories to put into a “Book of Letters.” We’ll present the book to Rick Cartwright, founding dean of SOCA. He retired in June, and we want to honor his 42 years of service to the university and the Fort Wayne community.
You can submit your letters, memories, art or photos with Rick online.

Invest in the Future

To celebrate our past and build for the future, SOCA is creating a new annual student award – the Rick and Louise Cartwright Scholarship. Every donation helps us achieve our goal of raising $25,000 towards this endowed scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded annually to SOCA students entering their senior year.

Please consider supporting the future students of SOCA with a donation.
