Closer Look Lecture Series

The School of Creative Arts (SOCA) presents a diverse group of artists, art historians and critics in its Closer Look Lecture Series. This series engages the Fort Wayne community and the tri-state region in the analysis of specific art forms and artists in a variety of mediums.

All Closer Look lectures and performances are free to the public.


Adam Mysock

In conjunction with the “Mythology of History” exhibition, Mysock will present a lecture on his artistic techniques as well as the unique symbolism found in his work. He holds a BFA in painting and art history from Tulane University and a MFA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was a studio art faculty member for over 10 years at Tulane University in New Orleans and now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio where he is a full-time artist. The lecture will conclude with a Q/A between Mysock and Tim Parsley, who is acting chair for the Art Department at the School of Creative Arts.
